Boxing Hoodie

The boxing match at Drepana between the Trojan warriors Dares and Entellus is the stuff of epic. Quite literally, as it is one of the climactic moments in the fifth book of Virgil’s Aeneid. While the young Dares taunts the cowardice of his onlookers, only one figure, Entellus, gnarled but tough as nails, takes on the challenge. Before he enters the ring, Virgil tells us that he duplicem ex umeris reiecit amictum, “He threw off the two hoodies from his shoulders,” before beating the arrogant Dares to a pulp, and knocking dead the poor prize bull.  Now you too have the chance to buy such a garment, or two!
